Since the time of Marco Polo, the Western Hemisphere has delighted in the integration of Asian cultures. We have embraced so many facets of the Asian lifestyles, amongst which are the cuisine, the music, art, furnishings, and the incredible gardens of the storied and regal cultures. It is a fascinating blending of styles when the Eastern traditions are combined with our own Western influences, and the overall effect is one that calms the soul whilst delighting the senses.

Buried deep behind a long hedge covered drive in the Arcadia district of Scottsdale, lies an example of East Meets West that may forever perfectly describe the genre. The canopied approach yields to a seclusion that is truly unique in all of Scottsdale. Once inside this corporate event location you are immediately struck by the peace and calm of the surroundings. The scale is indeed grand, as this 10,000 square foot home consists of open and airy spaces throughout. The second floor contains a spacious gallery that houses the largest collection of pre-Columbian artwork and textiles in the world. Throughout the ground floor you will find some of the most incredible collectibles in the world. Large in scale, completely unique, and utterly conversation worthy, you will not be able to choose which is your favorite piece.

The ground floor living area is designed with a circular flow, which mimics many of the like shaped collectibles, which adorn the home. From Bali an impressive four foot wheel from a wooden cart stands like a driftwood sentinel, presiding over the formal dining room. In the living room a Chinese marionette watches over fabulous collectibles from throughout the Orient, and a life-sized carved wooden image bids you farewell as you exit the living space.

Continuing into the library, you enter a two-part room that cossets you with comfortable seating, soothes you with classic jazz, and delights you with views of the green spaces beyond. A fireplace takes the chill off a winter day, as you cuddle up in a chair with your new favorite novel.

A restaurant like kitchen space contains everything necessary for you to create that one of a kind dish, and has quick access to the formal dining room.

The Zen like calm extends to the outdoors as you enter the rear yard space to hear the tumbling of a cascade of water into a pond. The adjacent swimming pool, and the bright red teahouse complete the serene environment.

As you walk up the canopied drive, perhaps you could picture yourself being drawn into the grounds by a series of Chinese dragon puppets; luring you inside to be met with all of the color and pageantry of the Forbidden Palace. You are about to enter one of the most fabulous residential art galleries in existence. Prepare to be dazzled by "East meets West".

Dinner outside for up to 100, or inside in the gallery for up to 50.
