The serenity of the desert calls out to many, and many succumb. And why not if you could take up residence near streets called Ho and Hum, Wampum Way and Easy Streets. Nature is right outside any door to any room where many rock formations and specimen plantings from the Southwest abound.
A private courtyard entry with a one of a kind art door created by Canadian Richard Boprae, and an Indian sentry by Philip Glasoff of California, begins the artistic journey through this Carefree home. A natural outdoor environment calls for extensive use of nature throughout the interior of the home as well. Concrete flooring provides a base for other vertical and horizontal surfaces of Basaltina, and Pompeii stone, South American Mahogany, Kosipo, Pomele Makora, and Bubinga woods.
Sleeping quarters are split between two Master Suites in which each have a washer and dryer set, and a third guest bedroom. Master suite one includes twin TempurPedic Queens with built in storage, and private his and hers bath with a large shared shower. A walk out patio overlooks the 65 foot lap pool, and the East approach to Black Mountain. Master Suite two has two extra long TempurPedic twin beds adorned with fabrics from India. Double sinks and a spacious shower complete the Master bath. Just outside is a large patio with views of the pool, and mountains. Bedroom three contains two extra long twin beds, and a bath with shower. A small patio sits just outside where a tumbling water feature can lull you to sleep.
An intimate den outside the West end bedrooms has a 48” flatscreen, and small kitchenette, while at the other side a Steinway M Baby Grand has entertained the household for decades. The family room just off the Chefs kitchen holds a 65’ flat screen that drops from the ceiling, while in the kitchen you will find a virtual wish list of appliances.
The rich Sonoran Desert provides the natural backdrop for the home, and a “Nature Trail” winds around the home lined by beautiful and rare specimens of the prickly life of the Desert, and by various artists whom have lent their efforts to the trail. If you are up to a more strenuous hike, several trails lay nearby that wind into the mountains.
An extensive Art and Collectibles collection adorns the entire home. Based on their travels throughout the world, the breathtaking beauty of the arts is one to be admired for ages. Additional lures to the property include two hybrid bicycles available to explore the area, a desert Botanical walk around the perimeters of the property with a fabulous collection of cacti, and a nearby club membership is included.
